Wen I was in high school my best friend was craing for a personal problem so I gave her a hug to comfort her. And I douchebag military teacher told me to stop. I got really mad and told him "Go $uck a dick!".. He never ever saw me at my face again

I have noticed that hugs are the cultural norm for salutations, but it's been like that for a very long time. I remember hating it back during middle school (a good 7 years ago).
