The best part about being a girl is your girlfriends. They keep you happy when you're sad and make you laugh when you want to cry, and most importantly, tell you what to buy.

    • Sarah is so funny. Her commentary on the way the media targets and manipulates women exposes it not as sinister but in the comedic light it deserves. The cheesy dialogue between the "lady friends" make it even funnier.

There are a ton of add-ons that allow you to block images and flash movies (selectively, so you can still play ones that show you infomania clips for example), so I haven't seen any AA ads in forever.

    • Can't believe you didn't mention this ridiculous yet disgusting commercial. Have safe masturbation, ladies. Or your grandmother will give you advice.

    • I have kind of been waiting for the one in which the woman responds to her friends' pointed questions about her boyfriend's feelings for her by saying, "Well of COURSE he loves me. After all, he wants to have sex with me ALL the time! What other explanation could there possibly BE?"

Or is that edging a little too close to the precipice of sadnes and dispair to qualify as comedy?

    • Sarah,

I am desperately awaiting an episode with the stepford wives as a metaphor for advertising directed at women!

      Did I miss it?

If not, what are you waiting for?

    • It's amazing that adding so-called friends to promote things is always a cliché nowadays...

What's going to be next, Video games aimed at the female market?

BOOOOO at both of you. There are already plenty of ridiculously condescending video games for women (as well as quality gender-neutral ones), and the DS is totally great and awesome.

All of my girlyfriends (and the guys who have ~taste~) like games like Katamari Damacy that don't need to appeal to hypermasculinity to move units anyway. >:c

    • I adore your portrayal of women, it's as realistic and true as it is stereotypically witty, funny and degrading.... to accomplish both in one clean sweep time and time again makes you a true genius... genius - genius - genius - It has a nice ring to it it eh?

    • Fantastic commentary on gender stereotyping and pandering. This video gave me a giggle more than once. However, I also felt frustrated with the ridiculous positioning of women in consumer cultures as shallow, mindless, cookie-cutter, mannequins. It is really sad--as so many women do tend to take up this role. And, thus, so many women feel self-conscious, lost and trapped.
