I see something very sad in our collective smugness here. These snake- oil-sales style presentations titled “Info,” play a vital role in maintaining the valueless culture that commercialism tries to construct and control in our lives.
Producing and airing such obvious hooks helps to flatter us into believing we are discerning, so we more easily ingest the heavily baited hooks aired as news, education, and entertainment.
Big Brother did arrive as predicted, but it is not a government. Governments are putty in its hands, and the people are more and more duped into accepting the wasted, false life it has brought.
