I know you left it out because it didn't fit this episode of That's Gay, but it think it's worth mentioning that Greek also featured a more 'normal' coming out
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ah7EuPnuOmwI really like this show, it think it's clever and poignant and points out hypocrisy and casual hatred towards gays without sounding bitter. I don't know who writes the texts, but thank you!

I remember this moment as well. This came out well after my post though. Thanks for posting it on this on-going conversation. And I think you are right about how it is written about in texts and the like.

It presents a different take on coming out in the media and also poses questions about videos like this, specifically asking the question what do we lose when we attempt to funny and snarky at the expense of being more accurate.

Great! I have a name for it now! The "Kanye Swift Kick" happened for me when I was in the car w/ my 3 gal pals on our way to Lilith Fair circa 1999. I know, I know ...typical but actually, they are straight gal pals of mine. Well, 2 of them are.
In the car, me in the passenger seat: (Turning down the radio): I'm gay.
LOL! Figured I'd get it out of the way b/c I was getting #'s that day. Cheers! :D

Glee even had "very special music" playing in the background of the "very special moment." Very After School Special. And they'd been doing so well...

Do I have to lick a vag to be gay? I need to know the limits of being gay or just bi so I know whether it's necessary to come out. I just like boobs and lady gaga.
Don't judge me =0P

Cuddlebones:
Right? This is the reason why I prefer the Kinsey scale of sexuality as opposed to "Are you Gay, Straight, or Bi?" There is no "Lady Gaga and Boobs" in that equation! (I think that would be a one or a two on the kinsey scale though haha)
