Since seeing this piece on Current on Friday, I've had two great experiences with Chat Roulette:
I met someone from China who was eager to hear about my life in America, and we spoke about the differences in our cultures – and our predictions for the future of our countries.
Last night I met a guy from Chicago who shares my same taste in underground, indie, and electronic music. We exchanged different tunes and artists for about 45 min.

I actually tried Chat Roulette, and I thought it was good. Thank goodness they had a "Report" button, I did use it when I saw some penises (and I'm not regretting it, but that is a lesson on how to stay safe online).

I'm not sure which is worse, the perverts or the journalists reporting on it (or those like Brian Williams that might be both) that you might find on Chat Roulette.
But it sure lives up to it's name in the risks that you take in gambling on what you'll see on it. Do they have guys on there doing a Dirty Harry impression and saying "Do ya feel lucky punk? Well do ya?"
I did like Ben's idea of self-reflection when he said "I used to watch porn, now the porn watches me." I suppose that could be an example of "like attracting like" with so many guys showing themselves to each other.
