With reality shows, rap videos, and workout programs, Christian TV tries to keep up with these sinful times.

infoMania is a half-hour satirical news show that airs on Current TV. The show puts a comedic spin on the 24-hour chaos and information overload brought about by the constant bombardment of the media. Hosted by Conor Knighton and co-starring Brett Erlich, Sarah Haskins, Ben Hoffman, Bryan Safi and Sergio Cilli, the show airs on Thursdays at 10 pm Eastern and Pacific Times and can be found online at http://current.com/infomania/ or on Current TV. • Considering I have family members who (I started to say "religiously" but thought the better of it haha) watch these channels, this just makes me smile!

    • I saw this segment on infomanias "best of".. It bums me out that my faith, the views and doctrines that have challenged and shaped my life has been bastardized for capitol and selfish gain. Im sure we've all heard the commandment "do not misuse Gods name", and although phrases like "goddammit" are off putting, what really irks me is seeing a culture of people so willing to be hip or trendy that they would put their own spin on literally everything (google "christian guitar hero", or really "christian merch, tv, music, etc") and thus loosing their/our authenticity and become lukewarm believers, or "cultural christians"...
Im a huge fan of current and infomania, i just hope that people will be challenged by sotires like this and make a point to pursue beyond stereotypes.

    • first they co-oped the easter egg from pagan oyster god of fertility.
then the pagan tree was dedicated to jesus' birthday.
they even claim the constitution was inspired by their god.

they take anything the masses like and cloak themselves in it.
that is true definition of POSER.

    • I work at a church. I am a pastor.I thoroughly enjoy infomania, that was really funny. It sucks how christians get in the way of Christ. God loves them though just like he loves everyone and his patience with us is our salvation. If you go straight to the Bible, He will change your life. He did mine.

    • Funny as always Connor. I also find the comments quite entertaining. Those of you Christians out there.. Say something to them, please? They're making your whole religion look bad!

    • Of the top websites that teens frequent, why Current?! I don't get it?!? hahahaha. I love Current, but it's really not that popular (I just checked its Alexa Ranking, it's not even in the top 1000 in the US). Why didn't they pick Facebook or Myspace?

    • Bravo! I felt the Holy Spirit while watching. If you don't like this, you obviously "take it in the butt like a girl." Its funny because its true. You're still a virgin if you put in her butt. You only go to hell for putting it in the front the way god intended. :)

    • Jesus is mad at Current because Sarah and Ellen aren't spitting babies out. That teaches girls that they could be smart, strong and funny. That's terrible. And Bryan is teaching people its okay to be gay and think on your own. No! We must repent, demons of individualism, free thought and un-repressed living begone!

Well said. I came across one of these channels a few days ago, and it's really pathetic how these delusional borderline-schizophrenics try to appeal to "the teen demographic". Condesending is'nt a strong enough word.
As for their swipe at Current...wow. A classic Seinfeld line hit me immediately at the end there...
"You know, the mere fact that you oppose this makes me think i'm on to something."
