    • The stupidity of the kind of sports fan personified in this video rely on seeing a scoreboard go up (even if you just gain points by merely holding someone), taking a whiz during a game and sitting on the couch eating junk and getting fat.

Doesn't matter if your team is horrendous, as long as you get 31 points for kicking a ball far, that's all that matters.

Watch the keepers do that 98 times during a REAL football game and go get some skills. I will personally pay you $10 grand if you can skillfully go past 4 real football players and score a goal. You can't even HOLD a ball, let alone kick it.

Besides, American "football" consists of dodging people holding an leather inflated oval and that's called playing tag in the rest of the world, and we do that when we're 7.

And don't get me started with the "world champions" title that all these sports are after, when they never even fly out of the country to play another country's team. NFL World Champs and World series?? Never!

    • Ha! Great editorial. I totally agree that soccer + USA = no interest. I've never understood why exactly, but the 'core' of the country is just not into it. I think it may be the points thing, heck we get 7 points per touchdown, and 2 points per basket, but when an entire game can go by without 1 point being scored, we just don't accept it.

    • TO ALL PRODUCERS OF CURRENT TV :
YOU ARE OVER DOING IT AND OVER THINKING IT.
You had a great opportunity and you lost it or at least you lost me.
I thought this was a VC2 channel, now it just seems like 24 hours of complaining vs trying to be funny sketches vs count downs and annoying criticism.
YOU MESSED UP A GREAT IDEA.
You egomaniacs, infomaniacs and rotten producers.

    • While i completely disagreed with this, I have to remember its comedy. I dont give a shit what you think Ben, I love soccer. But it was funny :p.

Oh and there are two plain and simple reasons that soccer has not taken off i the US like other countries.

      1) If the same amount of people watched soccer just as much as american football, advertising companies would make more money off of american football because of all the stop time. The fact that soccer isnt watched as much gives it an uphill battle because networks wont make as big as a profit thus are less likely to show it.

      2) unlike most countries, a lot of the youth didnt grow up playing soccer until the 80s and 90s. Which is why most of the world cup crowd in the US today is young people.

    • Has anyone heard or read the "chants" the countries sing/scream. They use racist and derogatory words towards their opponents. I really don't see countries "coming together" for the World Cup. I have attended many different sporting events in the midwest of the US and I have never heard such hateful things.

    • That's funny someone actually believes that soccer is the greatest sport in the world.... Obviously NASCAR is. Just kidding. It's all about the extreme sports. Bmx, snowboarding, rockclimbing, paintball, etc

    • He's not talking about what sports take more skill. He's just simply saying it's not our style.. not our cup of tea. I personally think Hockey is the best sport but unfortunately most Americans like football way more. It's a little overrated if you ask me. But soccer is still way less interesting to me. You all need to lighten up about this video though. I'm sure he's exaggerating for comedic value.

    • FUCK THAT!!! Football (SOCCER) actually requires you to run the whole time, these Fat ass Americans cant do that, because every fucken sport they play there is a stopage time for another play and then another play.

Football meaning Soccer is something where it doesn't matter how big your country is but how big your heart is for the sport!!!!

IT DOES NOT MATTER IF AMERICAN HATES FOOTBALL (SOCCER) THE WHOLE LOVES IT SO IM PRETTY SURE THE WHOLE WORLD BEATS ONE SINGLE REDNECK,IGNORANT COUNTRY!!

    • Go F*** urself Ben Hoffman, u are acting like the typical ignorant, close-minded American, that believes that the whole f-ing world should revolve around America, guess what, IT DOESN'T, if you don't like it, DON'T WATCH IT!!! I mean really, how can you can you call American football a real sport, when the players are super padded with protective gear (unlike the real soccer players ATHLETES) and the only incentive for football players to join the NFL is knowing first how much money their contracts are valued at and how many whores will be hovering around them at private parties. Plus the name says itself, FOOTball, the only time I see American football players use their foot is to punt the ball and thats about IT. Other than this commentary, I actually like your editorials.

umm spanky. Thats if they could catch the soccer players. Soccer players run the most out of any sport (an average 7.5 miles per game). A

Ill take the soccer players over the fat ass brain damaged american football players.
