bryan_safi
Watch an exclusive sneak peek from "That's Gay: State of the (Super Gay) Union," a live show that infoMania's Bryan Safi will perform at San Francisco's Out Loud Comedy & Arts Festival on October 7.

After Bryan's parents found out he was gay, they sent him a very special "we don't care about you" package with a helpful book: You Don't Have to Be Gay.

For tickets to see Bryan live, go to http://outloudcomedy.com. For more "That's Gay," watch infoMania on Current TV, every Thursday at 11/10c.

infoMania is a half-hour satirical news show that airs on Current TV. The show puts a comedic spin on the 24-hour chaos and information overload brought about by the constant bombardment of the media. Hosted by Conor Knighton and co-starring Brett Erlich, Erin Gibson, Ben Hoffman, Bryan Safi and Sergio Cilli, the show airs on Thursdays at 11/10c on Current TV.

    • Brian Safi, I love you so much! Your delicate humorous take on what happens so commonly to our gay youth who first come out to their parents is so dishearteningly true, no matter how repulsive it may be. I enjoy the It's gay segments so much, and I wish you all the best my friend! From one gay man to another, let's keep up the fight for equality! : )

    • It's always intriguing how "straight" religious folk, homophobes and ex-gays seem to consume so much gay media and then comment on how terrible/unamusing it is once they have seen the whole thing (usually 5 or 6 times).
I almost never find myself accidentally watching one of the many ludicrous family research council, NOM (et al) videos, yet these people seem to have endless time to watch Bryan Safi's work?

I feel sorry for Patrick and his ilk; so much pseudo-science, so little time to debunk.

    • This sounds dead on like the relationship I have with my parents. It beats the hell out of the fighting we used to do though. (Thanks for putting this up.)

    • I love it, I whish I Had a shield like Bryan so people know I'm gay right away (refering to when you tell people you host the show "That's Gay"). Any recommendations? I don't have a boyfriend, which I've used before very effectively. In that moment women right away stop flirting with you and suddenly open up like a friend. But I am tired of that lie. How can i out myself nonchalant without making it look like I am throwing it in your face?

    • The book story reminds me of my bigoted Yes-On-8 Cousins & Aunt in the Bay Area who, after Prop 8, mailed me a book on how to return to Christianity....

    • Brian, love ur webisodes, and isn't stuffing your soft penis into [whatever] the probable outcome with excess booze? Also, are your hoody drawstrings taped to ur nipples? I'm sorry, I have to ask.
