"Maybe it wasn't that interesting in the first place", who gives a crap? Honestly, what differences does the real life drama make on the film? Unless its a documentary, being realistic plays second fiddle to being artistic and entertaining. If you can make an entertaining story out of something mundane, it just shows even more skill as a filmmaker.

Ellen Fox or Brett Erlich, question. So I have a legitimate movie question for you about the film The Social Network that hopefully someone from this site will actually answer for a change. The scene towards the middle/endish part of the movie during the rowing scene with the twins (who lose by a close margin add insult to injury after losing their site idea) the cinematography of the film seems completely different, the background looks like some sort of animated backdrop while Trent Reznor plays some crazy music. So what is that exactly? What did yall think about it? Thanks!

Seriously? The events werent actually that interesting in the first place? Yes ellen WE KNOW. Its a damn movie. Movies are there to entertain us to begin with. Of course its not going to follow everything as it actually happened. God Fox needs to get laid or something.

Yes! First of all....it's good to see Brett and Ellen in their more natural format. Thank you Infomania for listening, somewhat. They deserve their own show, though......having just a segment is a waste of Brett and Ellen's proven talent.
Social Network was a great movie and it was much more exciting than I thought it would be. I didn't agree with Ellen about the idea being artificially bolstered to be more exciting than it actually was. Not all ideas come with a strike of lightning but the birth of an amazing idea or innovation in this case is always pretty interesting. And it WAS exciting having a front row seat to it.
I left this movie with some interesting lessons to think about and seeing young people making history right before your eyes is pretty awesome....even if isn't 100% accurate....what is, anyway? Enjoy the movie people!

Watching this stunted segment is like having a guy you've got the hots for finally stick his hand in your bra while giving you the kiss smack down but then his phone rings and he answers it and has a two hour conversation while you sit there and wait. SO INCREDIBLY UNSATISFYING!!! Bring back the damn show or just kill it. Teasing us is just plain rude!

As someone whose facebook profile dates back to Summer 2004, I gotta say I'm a bit tired of the public's facebook obsession. Sure, facebook was a great idea, but it wasn't exactly the first social networking site. I probably need to see the movie to see if it changes my opinion.
Nice review btw.

Brett's reaction is right on. It's so incredibly enthralling, and I did find myself discussing the movie very very fast.
I may not have agreed 100% with how the movie depicted brilliance in the technological age. But while it wasn't a flattering portrayal of Zuckererg, it was definitely a great character--almost a tragic artist.
But, Andrew Garfield is fantastic. I've adored him since 'Boy A'-- looking into his eyes can break your heart. I absolutely can't wait to see him in 'Never Let Me Go' and SPIDERMAN! ( - 1 year ago

i used to get annoyed with the always smart ass remarks the cast of rotten tomatoes also said in their reviews (probably because i was a big fan of the more FORMAL At the movies) but now these guys review films like they have just been neutered I dont I now kinda missed the smart witty remarks they once used to bombarded you with.

When I saw that a Facebook movie was in the works last year, I thought it was a huge joke. And I pretty much still do. I fail to understand how this makes for an interesting film.

This is how Rotten Tomatoes should have started out, then became a half hour show, like infoMania did.

so i saw brett in a car commercial. my first thought was; "Oh No! Brett's going to be mainstream now!" but basically, he was wearing a suit and was leaping around in an office. basically, i always thought brett looked a bit like Jim from The Office. that commercial proved my point :]
