The Amazing Race's Amazing Tool, Bret Michaels' Afterlife Theories, iPad iFail

Conor_Knighton
Taped in front of a live studio audience, host Conor Knighton mocks all the oddball media moments you likely missed this week while out buying candy corn. Catch up on newscasters trying to make Halloween genuinely terrifying, cosmetology school grads and the jerks they date on "The Amazing Race," and a fainting choir boy. You'll also discover why "Days of Our Lives" is still going strong at 45, Bret Michaels' offspring have existential crises by age 5, and the sad passing of Paul the Octopus at 2 ½ leads to laughter on the "Today" show. Also: Don't read the ingredients on that bag of candy corn. Seriously, it's a huge bummer.

infoMania is a half-hour satirical news show that airs on Current TV. The show puts a comedic spin on the 24-hour chaos and information overload brought about by the constant bombardment of the media. Hosted by Conor Knighton and co-starring Brett Erlich, Erin Gibson, Ben Hoffman, Bryan Safi and Sergio Cilli, the show airs on Thursdays at 11/10c on Current TV.

    • Sometimes even removing the the laugh track from a terrible show can make it pretty funny... ie... Big Bang Theory... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_iEY9pSHT0

Connor said it was a one time thing - so people should chill out and not dis infomania so hard cause its still better than 99% of tv...

It would be wonderful it current gave infomania a bigger budget and let the team make a longer format to fill in the gap since rotten tomatoes is RIP.

    • All of the unique qualities of infoMania have been abandoned for the world of Me Too. The former ironic point of view and the low key delivery of the material is what made this show work so well. The laugh track and Conor Knighton's new caffeinated persona has transformed the show into unwatchable. I got half way through the new and overly energized Modern Lady segment then I deleted it from my DVR.

    • HORRIBLE!!!! The studio audience is also a laugh track and it ruins the show!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually can't watch the show unless you get rid of this!

    • No, no, no. Get rid of the too-loud studio audience. I thought one of the special things about the show is how Connor feels like a news anchor, and the news never have a laugh track to go along. Plus they are laughing hysterically at all the wrong bits! Stop the insanity current! You keep changing things and it keeps getting worse!!!!!

    • The live audience completely disrupts IM's cool tech remove. And the comedic timing. It becomes another show entirely...Infomanic. Wait a minute...it was just a dream, right Toto? The flying monkeys were scary, but not nearly as scary as the live audience laughing.

    • Why? Why did you add the live-action laugh track? Everything on the show seemed to suffer. For the first time ever watching infoMania, I sat stoically watching the screen and only breaking my gaze to occasionally cringe. I thought you were better than this, but now you've decided to become just another bubbly, soulless, "soup" show. Goodbye forever.

    • Infomania,
I love your show dearly. But please, bring your show back on the web. Most people would be able to tell you that you're losing viewers from it. I'm also glad the studio audience was a one time thing. Keep it that way, I like to laugh when I prefer to, not when an audience does.

    • WTF was up with that live studio audience? Please never do that again. All of the idiotic giggling actually sucked the funny OUT of the show.

    • What specifically, is the benefit of not posting full episodes? You have first and foremost lost traffic, and therefore ad revenue, from areas that can only turn to your website to watch the show (such as other countries). I am in college, and have always enjoyed infomania, but there is literally no way for me to watch it now, and so now you have lost an otherwise loyal viewer. As my age group was previously your primary audience, there are surely many others that are in my situation. I just cannot see how this new policy helps the show or the company.

I emailed Current right after they removed Info Mania from the web and said pretty much what you said, as I no longer have any way to watch the show, either, and they never responded to me. I interpreted this to mean that they no longer give a shit about their loyal and long-time viewers.
