Infomania
The internet is indeed mostly filled with angry and disjointed individuals and very few people deny this. If one question can be answered by your company/producer/decision maker then it is this, "Why did you add the laugh tracks in the first place?" There are a couple of possibilities to answer this. For example, you may be trying to reach a broader audience who may be used to the safe feeling of the laughing track. A company will choose to let go of an initial fanbase to gain a much broader fanbase to increase ratings or advertisement revenue. An example of something excelling in that venture would be Metallica.
Artistic license is a vague excuse, but even I don't buy that.
Moves like this usually don't come out of the blue. They may be tested on audiences who haven't seen the show before vs. those who have. I am personally not a fan of the audience but anyone who may be a fan wouldn't come to a website to praise a show for a change that upon review, may get them yelled at in a community. Which is possibly why no one from the network has really explained why this change has occurred. Too one-sided.
I demand, and i'm sure fans of the show also may, to see a real reason that this format has changed. We can assume all we want from who may own the network or how that may change but actual formal documentation would be highly preferred.
Thanks

Infomania, please stop with the live audience, you're ruining everything!
Hey Infomania. I used to really like you, but now you suck. I'm only saying this because I care about you. You've been doing this for two weeks and people have already started to hate you. Your jokes are just as good, but the live audience sucks all of the funny out. You're ruining it! Infomania's humor style is dry, not in your face. So it doesn't mesh with the in your face laughter.
I can't believe I have to tell you this! Sarcasm does not need a laugh track. I thought you understood that. Stop telling me how funny your joke is. I get to decide that, not you. And every punchline is just killed by the stale audience laughter. I can't even hear what you're saying because I'm so distracted. Come on. You're better than that.Alright, good intervention!
P.S. If you laugh track music interventions I will cut a bitch.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE never use a live audience again, it makes me so uncomfortable. It seems like they're laughing way harder than they should be. I don't watch the show to rofl, I just want to chuckle under my breath, k?

watching 2 infoMania episodes in a row on TV and you guys actually make a joke about how much everyone online hated the studio audience, but you're keeping it anyway? WTF? firstly, it's impossible to believe that's an actual live studio audience and not a lame laugh track. although i suppose that's a bit redundant as all laugh tracks are lame. seriously, lose it, it makes any joke instantly unfunny. i've never been so bored with an episode of infoMania. so either the laugh track goes, or i do. :-\

It's interesting to me that nobody seems to care for the live audience (I can't stand it and couldn't even get through 30 seconds of a video clip from last week because the laughter was so utterly irritating), and yet the live audience persists. Are you TRYING to alienate your audience, Current? Because if you are, I think you're succeeding.

Hey InfoMania, yea...you crazy lovable kids, you. Um, what's the deal? What did we do to make you wanna break up with us like this? Actually, let's put this out to Current period. To share the sentiments of the comments of...many, I was bummed at first when full eps were no longer available on the internet, as I had no cable, but I conveniently moved to a location that had satellite and boom, there you were again. Alas, it was here that I was to discover that not only was Rotten Tomatoes no mas, but literally the entire format of current with the cool podcasts n stuff that kept me glued to the set forever had also gone the way of the dodo. Again, simple enough, I'll just watch 'clips' online and vanguard/infomania on the tele...it gave me some precious time back, so that was a side note bonus. Now, back to you InfoMania, then Sarah moved on and we got Erin - I have no probs with the lady! She's modern, funny, intense stare...great stuff. Buuuut, maybe due to other people biatchin' about her or crying about Sarah being gone, maybe some casting couch stuff, or maybe even just plain ol fashioned nepotism...whatevs, I honestly don't know...I'm not sure why you're pushing her on us. I mean, she's doing all these lil cameos in EvErYoNe's segments. I get it, you want us to like her. Like I said, I do, but she's kinda everywhere on the show and it has me a little confused. K...can handle aaaallll-o-dat. But...*sigh* the live audience (which I was CERTAIN was a laugh reel until I came online today to watch this lovely behind the scenes dealio) is just, well, not bueno. This is like finding out you're being cheated on via FB (I imagine) or something lame like that. Y'all are funny!! We don't need to go the route of Soup or some other equally annoying juvy show. Please, please, please don't have the laughing on the show. Do the live thing, cuz that looked like y'all had fun, but don't broadcast it to all of us like that....puh-leeze :) Granted, should you continue to not listen to your fans, I'm sure I'll figure a way around this too. I do have closed captioning.
I don't know what we did....I just...don't...get it :(
Still love you....forever.

Please get rid of that live audience. PLEASE. Every time I hear them laugh at a joke, a small section of my flesh literally burns off.

Another NO for the live audience. Love you guys, seriously, but the "laugh track" (whether it was real people or not) was so obnoxious. Also, can we get away from this whole "sitting around on director's chairs chatting" thing? And I'm not happy about Rotten Tomatoes being smushed into the show.. I *love* Brett but it's not enough, have to fast-forward those segments =/ Sorry to complain, like I said.. I adore the show and all you guys, but this is one of my fave shows and suddenly in the last month or two it's been scaring me by doing things I really don't like. Please stay awesome!

I agree with you about Rotten Tomatoes being pushed onto the show. I loved that show, was shocked to see it go so abruptly, but it sucks the momentum/fun out of this show. You guys lost your main gig, sorry about that, but why take away airtime from the regulars on this show?
But I guess Infomania doesn't care about viewer feedback, since they had the live audience again this night. Talk about alienating all 23 of your viewers! Oh well, I guess I can always tune into the Daily Show on Thursday nights instead! :-)

I still love Infomania and I am glad you guys are willing to try new things at the risk of them not being well-received.
I'm pretty sure you won't be visiting the live studio audience method again, but I still think your show's segments and content are funny and better than most programming on television (or in my case the Internet since I don't have cable).
I would love to see full episodes posted again on Current/Youtube/Apple Tunes/Hulu Hoop/Tweetbox/Bookface and all those other places they used to be found. Again, I don't have cable, and only being able to watch clips makes me feel like I'm really missing out. I'm sure I'm not the only audience member who feels a little ostracized... espeially because I can find virtually any other cable show in full somewhere on the Web. I miss you, Infomania!

Infomania, I love your show, but I'm definitely not feelin this live studio audience thing. Don't stoop to the Soups level! Same with Modern Lady, neither show needs an audience, I prefer laughing on my own!
