For good reason, no woman has ever had the balls, moxie or delusion to claim the title of "the world's premiere basic cable expert on lady stuff."
Until now.
Meet Erin Gibson. She's freakishly tall, sort of smart, and willing to do just about anything to get a bemused chuckle.
Her segment, Modern Lady, on infoMania, is dedicated to reporting and commenting on what's happening on Planet Lady.*
*The asterisk next to "Planet Lady" is actually a typo.

infoMania is a half-hour satirical news show that airs on Current TV, now shot live in front of a studio audience. The show puts a comedic spin on the 24-hour chaos and information overload brought about by the constant bombardment of the media. Hosted by Conor Knighton and co-starring Brett Erlich, Erin Gibson, Ben Hoffman, Bryan Safi and Sergio Cilli, the show airs on Thursdays at 11/10c on Current TV.

I feel like with the live audience they strive to entertain more which makes them more uppity and makes it feel lame, one more reason to lose the live audience

Why are there super annoying people laughing at the barely funny jokes? I really want to like Modern Lady after the brilliance of Target Women, but the laugh track makes even trying to listen to this PAINFUL.

wow. i can't even focus on what Erin is saying because the entire production of this segment has become such a blatant rip-off.
but its not even a good rip-off...
everything feels both well thought out and forced.
oh and its amazing how someone can just magically adopt joel mchale's mannerisms in a week

I think the live studio audience killed this piece. Usually these guys seem cool and collected but you can tell they're a little off in front of a live crowd. And there's always someone in the audience who laughs when it's not funny-- not that the infomania guys (and gals) aren't funny, just that there's a certain timing to their jokes and when someone laughs at random things that are said it undermines the whole thing.

I wouldn't even try getting interviewed by the papparazi either... (P.S. Am I the only one who doesn't mind the live studio audience?)
