For good reason, no woman has ever had the balls, moxie or delusion to claim the title of "the world's premiere basic cable expert on lady stuff."
Until now.
Meet Erin Gibson. She's freakishly tall, sort of smart, and willing to do just about anything to get a bemused chuckle.
Her segment, Modern Lady, on infoMania, is dedicated to reporting and commenting on what's happening on Planet Lady.*
*The asterisk next to "Planet Lady" is actually a typo.

Oh, the bit about nascar is just an additional insult.
What a completely mindless waste of time and gasoline it is.
Modern Lady is becoming my favorite part of the new infoMania. With this congress, I'm sure you'll have plenty to make fun of. - 1 year ago

so are breast cancer screenings and HIV testings evil an unjust as well? But who cares about saving a woman's life, when you can watch a bunch of cars drive around a track and crash into each other. I really wish I lived in Canada.

Hi. Pleae join my facebook group, "Stand with Planned Parenthood!" to help raise awareness on the importance of women's healthcare funding.
On February 18, 2011, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to bar Planned Parenthood health centers from all federal funding for birth control, cancer screenings, HIV testing, and other lifesaving care.
It is the most dangerous legislative assault in planned parenthood's history, and it cannot go unanswered. Planned Parenthood and the three million women, men, and teens who are at risk of losing access to basic care.
Go to the link, http://www.ppaction.org/IStandWithPP to sign an open letter to congress.

Why should taxpayers pay for teens mistakes? Congress didn't kill Planned Parenthood,,,just de-funded it. Why not have the culprits be responsible for their actions?

Well, you'll probably end up buying for the welfare that the single mother and her child or unprepared young family will need to get by.
And, in case you didn't watch the clip or have any prior knowledge of what's going on, none of the money is allowed to fund the abortions. The 'culprits' actually do pay out of pocket for the procedure.
So yeah, go Erin.

In all seriousness, why does Planned parenthood need, or want, federal funding?

Because, it benefits society and already has federal funding?

Thank you for the answer to my genuine question. I only know of planned parenthood from a historical eugenicist perspective.
Okay, and I am not trying to be obtuse, how does it benefit society? If it already has federal funding, why is it important that it keep such funding?

samthesixth:
Because it is not for profit as in contributions and federal funding is their only income. It benefits society by providing education about stds, pregnancy, helping young mothers in trouble. It also provides counseling and assistance. It is important becuase it helps those who society forgets, those who are cast off by our own shame, they are the ones who are there.

Thank you. I don't know much about the modern organization and you have taught me. I did not know that "federal funding was their only income." Wow. Thanks again, I appreciate your response.
