Yes, it sounds like the setup for an episode of "Dateline," but Ben's unparalleled people skills make the piece sweet rather than sordid. Who else but Ben can name-drop Sean Connery and Kevin Costner in one breath, then beautifully capture a young woman's passage into adulthood by letting go of her youthful totems in the next? Nobody, that's who.

infoMania is a half-hour comedy show that airs weekly on Current TV.
