Class dismissed: Viral Video Film School

Brett_Erlich
Professor Brett Erlich issues his final nuggets of wisdom before sending his beloved students out into the cold, cruel "real world." This valedictory session of Viral Video Film School (at least as part of infoMania) focuses on overcoming adversity, whether you're a YouTube knucklehead or a wild animal trying to devour its prey. Bonus: A glimpse of the very first VVFS, featuring a remarkably hirsute Brett.

Viral Video Film School is a recurring segment on the weekly television show infoMania. In each episode of VVFS, Professor Brett Erlich teaches you valuable skills in the discipline of Viral Video making. So sit down, take notes, and try not to piss him off. For more Brett visit http://current.com/viral-video-film-school-im/ and Current TV.

infoMania is a weekly half-hour satirical show that puts a comedic spin on the 24/7 media overload. Hosted by Brett Erlich and co-starring Sergio Cilli, Erin Gibson, Ben Hoffman and Bryan Safi, infoMania airs on Thursdays at 11/10c on Current TV.

    • Logged in to wish the Infomania team good luck. I've been here since pretty much the beginning, and have been entertained by you all for years.

      Thank you.

      That is all.

    • Two weeks passed but I still can't understand why such a great show is closed.
At first I discovered Infomania's VVFS videos with Brett Erlich on YouTube. After that I wanted more and went to current.tv to watch the other parts of Infomania. And I found all that stuff just awesome and enjoyed it very much, though I live in a non-English speaking European country (Belarus) and don't know English well.
I can say that Infomania shows are entertaining, informative, funny, fresh, original and unique. And, of course, VVFS is the best part of it. Brett Erlich is such a great host, comedian and person (all-in-one).
I even considered buying a satellite dish just to be able to watch Current TV's Infomania and VVFS in real time and not to wait until the videos will be uploaded to the Internet.
But now, when there's no Infomania and no VVFS, I've dropped the idea of trying to watch Current TV because the reason why I wanted to watch it no longer exists.
Best wishes to Brett Erlich! I hope to see you somewhere else and as soon as possible :-)

    • So clearly Current expected us to do all the advertising for this great program so, we the viewers made the mistake of talking about things other than those on VVFS and Infomania and Rotten tomatoes. I got at least 5 people to start watching, if I had become an parrot with OCD who watched just this show I could have done a little better. So now that we know, give us a chance to get more viewers and maybe pry open that change purse for a little advertising. How about even some of that no such things as bad publicity, the staff could leak a sex tape which brought up two questions "can what I saw be considered sexual???" and "Was that Al Gore??".

    • Current killed this creative team, first by stopping the full show stream, and then by canceling the rotten tomatoes show and adding it to Infomania. How much advertising can you show online? I don't know the numbers (hits and clicks) but my immediate social environment at work and school watch this show regularly. How shortsighted you are (Current TV) to miss, first, that the future of tV is online and second to cut such a great cast and crew. I used to see all the other current tV shows but mainly because of this show, so you loose me as a viewer as well as most of the people I commented the show with. Were ever Brett Erlich goes with his creative mind I will follow as a viewer, but its still a shame that the creative team was disassembled. will miss you dearly.
PS (will be canceling my account from Current soon also), Keith Olbermann Sucks, I can get my political and critical social views from much better places.
