Saying good-bye to the White Hot Top 5

Sergio_Cilli
After three years of watching infoMania music expert Sergio Cilli stand in front of a green screen making sport of the week's hottest hits, viewers have come to know and love his low-key hipster cool. But was it all just an act? As Sergio counts down the likes of Nicki Minaj, Adele and Katy Perry for the last time, he finally lets the public see the real, raw "Serge Dog." Warning: It's not always pretty.

"Sergio's White Top 5" is a recurring segment on Current TV's weekly television show, infoMania. For more Sergio visit http://current.com/white-hot-top-5/ and Current TV.

    • What are doing Current? I've been gone for a few months and you guys have totally killed all of the good programming you had. How could you possibly think the new programming would be better? Oh well, I knew it wouldn't last. It was too unique. I will say that your new lineup will go down in flames very quickly. You've turned into Fox news. What the hell?

    • Oh wow. Came to check on the status of one of my old favorite shows and discover it's been cancelled after being completely terribly handled by Current. First not allowing full episodes online (almost losing me by making it harder to keep up with it, even though I had it on cable) then adding a laugh track (losing even more fans) took everything out of this once great show. And everyone was still funny with Sergio being awesome, love Ben, Erin and Bryan working well together, Bret always funny, etc. Used to be one of the best shows on television before all the changes. The best of luck to all the infomania contributors and I will specifically never get a cable package that includes CurrentTV again.

I agree. Current is trying to make its way away from a comical integration of information into a political one. I question if this is really the right move. I completely agree with you.

    • The only reason I signed up for this is to say I HATE YOU BECAUSE YOU LET THIS GO! GFY. Bringing it back would be better idea than your idiotic choice to let it go.

After writing the above, I had a look at Current last night, and Olbermann did actually make me laugh while lampooning O'Reilly. So, there's that...

    • Way to blow it Current. You had a unique formula, and fun programming. You drained the greatness from this show and now you're euthanize it.

Taking away the full web episodes used to drive me nuts, but all of a sudden I just don't care.

A shame to see Gore's vision diluted like this. So much promise.

      Infomania crew, we'll miss you.
