Victory in New York: Long Way Round

For the last stretch of their trip, Ewan and Charley lead dozens of bikers into New York City. Friends, fans, and colleagues come to celebrate their arrival with bottles of champagne and tears of joy.

In "Long Way Round," Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman travel 20,000 miles through 13 countries -- riding from London through Eastern Europe and Russia, then flying to Alaska and continuing through Canada and the U.S. to end in New York City.

From being held at gunpoint in Kazakhstan to witnessing the majestic vistas of Mongolia, this series captures the spirit of friendship and adventure in a completely fresh way.

    • I stumbled across this show recently and gotta admit, even though it was it was done several years ago, those guys did something that most of us can only dream about. They had one hell of an adventure. I wonder if they continued their freindship after completing their epic journey.

      It's interesting to know that people who never even heard of Obi Wan still treated them warmly and many times opened their homes to them and fed them. Then again, was their reaction to the travelers influenced by seeing a camera crew in tow?

      Either way, it's good to know that people are people no matter where we go in this world. Thanks for making this trip and sharing it with us.

    • last stretch..what an adventure, i love this show. It must be such an amazing feeling to have finished this long trek, I cant wait to catch the whole episode.
