My wedding anniversary is April 20, if that tells you anything. :)

I can understand why not have sex when youre stoned but why on this particular day, am I missing something? why 4/20. In the UK it would be 20/04 is there some significance ?

4:20 is considered by many to be the "international pot smoking time." It was a natural progression for April 20 to become pot smoking day, since the states typically list dates as month/day rather than day/month like most other countries. There are several stories about how it started, but I don't know if any are true. One is that it was a time for some high schoolers to get together after detention. I've also heard that most Dead concerts started at 4:30, so everyone toked up 10 minutes prior. I'm sure there are other origin stories as well.

If I still smoked (too expensive for me) I would not be up at 4:20am to smoke, and I would be at work at 4:20pm so that has always left me out anyways. I do have a friend who does smoke every morning at 4:20. PS....nice bud there!
