The age-old advertising adage 'sex sells' is true - even in this recession. In tough times people have always turned to alcohol, but sex, it seems, is another vice untouched by the bad economy. According to people in the adult industry, sex will always sell, and this economic slow-down hasn’t had much of an effect on the industry. From strippers to prostitutes, women and men in the adult industry say the demand for their product (and services) is as strong as ever.

    • I have to agree with TheDesertEagle. When everyone is broke, they will still find a way to satisfy their carnal urges, especially the ones they can technically still get for free (or for cheap).

    • Well, in my research, I found that the same demand is there - BUT, as I mentioned, the strippers are being tipped less, and the prostitute is being offered less. From what I found, people still want it, but are willing to spend less money on it.

    • Hear in Vegas there's been an increase in the number of striper working at the clubs. Promoters are selling that they have more choices to offer.

    • I don't think that's as true as you would like it to be. Heard on the news that demand for adult material is down 30%. Perhaps you should revise your thesis to say 'cheap sex'.
