But schools in some places like Hillsdale, N.J., to Bend, Ore. have either banned hugging or either imposed a 3 sec hug rule.
They defended their actions by citing that school was a place for academics and that ban on such pubic display of affection was needed "to maintain an atmosphere of academic seriousness and prevent unwanted touching, or even groping. "
WHERE IS THE LOVE?????

I think this is great. We need more that. I'm not saying we should go around hugging everyone we see on the street. But at least with people we know and feel comfortable enough with, a hug can be a pretty nice thing. If I had done more of this in my life time, as well as received it, I might have been a different person today.

Hugging isn't always harmless... What if the two people have big loopy earrings and get hooked together? What if one has nits? What if a girl has cooties?
Wake up to the dangers people!

Lame. Hugging is harmless. It's just a way to say hello or goodbye these days. They had high fives, kids have hugs. It's no different. Hugging isn't even first base. I say the adults are just jealous and feel unloved. They should install Hug Walls.
