I know, I fooled you (unless you looked at that carefully hidden picture above). No no, it's not Vera Wang, silly, but arch-rival and name-thief Alexander Wang, who was was nominated for a 2008 Council of Fashion Designers of America in Womens' Wear AND won a $200,000 prize as the CDFA/Vogue (magazine) Fashion Fund Award winner. Maybe not such a sloppy second.
But wait. Whichever Wang it was that got the GAP job was a woeful Wang. They made the poor sod redesign their Khaki collection. That's like saying, "Hmm, the dust in the corner's looking a bit messy, please rearrange it."
Ah well, I'm sure it'll fly off the shelves like any other range that has a hint of actual designer to it.
