This month's Elle magazine features a 16-year-old Miley Cyrus on the cover, and photos of her inside in a black push-up bra and black thigh high boots (for the record, they are THE thigh high Rodarte boots). Text in the mag proclaims that 'she's not a kid anymore.' This salon.com writer says, 'Miley has crossed that fine cultural line between sexy purity and sexiness that is actually sexual.'
I know the sexuality of young girls has been discussed a million times over but this put a bit of a different spin on it for me - does it matter how we sexualize teen girls? is one way 'better' than the other?
