A new book called "You Are Really Rich, You Just Don't Know It Yet" takes a different look at happiness and the credit crunch, by applying monetary values to life experiences based on what people said made them happy. So spending time with friends has an approximate value of £63,256, having a pet as a companion comes in at £78,640, and a baby equates to about £123,592.
