Celebrity Gossip Glut

There's a problem in the United States. It's plastered all over the TV and it's blasted from billboards in Times Square.

The problem is overexposure.

And Michael Gleason has the solution: censorship.

    • Do you really think I believe that the so called free press is not controlled by big money and government spin tanks , Just like advertising influences your actions and habits , the twist is Vladimir is just such an animal like the US media, But you didn't quiet make the connection once a media spin is started how the effect is habitual and turning back to real valuable reporting is met with formidable opposition . Keep going, your in the right direction. Just drop all the fn gossip

    • Gleason, excellent podcast man (or viral video, which ever one it's called), this is something that I believe to be a long term social problem within out nation and is it quickly becoming a plague. CURRENT is the new media! We need more real world overexposerure; there are so many great, positive stories out there that are being told and more importantly, have yet to be told!

    • While I do agree that what constitutes a news story is getting ridiculous, I don't believe that censoring the media is the solution. We're inundated with celebrity gossip because there's tremendous demand for it. If you don't enjoy these stories, show this by not supporting media outlets who focus on superficial stories.

    • Totally agree!

What happened to International News, Science, National Coverage? It has become one of the weird " ... aliens ate my children ..." magazines we see as we stand in lines to pay for our food.

I really don't care about celebrities or what they do. Why should I? Oh right, the news says we should.
