Why are some couples happy to start families, but not willing to walk down the aisle? In 2002 25% of babies were born to unwed parents - in 2007 that number rose to 40%. 43-year-old Raymond McCauley has a set of twins with his partner of five years, Kristina Hathaway. He says, "We love each other far, far too much to ever actually get married." Mindsets like his are not uncommon, thanks in part to couples disenchanted with divorce rates and hetero couples vowing not to marry until same-sex marriage is legal.
