Neil Gaiman wrote the now famous blog post, in which he made clear that George R.R. Martin and other writers are not slaves to their audiences. It seemed that a fan took it upon himself to complain to Gaiman about how long Martin was taking in producing the next book in his series. To which Gaiman responded, "George R.R. Martin is Not Your B*tch" (can I write the real word on the Current site, but I digress). You can read the blog post here: http://journal.neilgaiman.com/2009/05/entitlement-issues.html This was for me a truly LMAO moment. I guess it was for a lot of people because this guy, John Anealio, wrote a song about it. Enjoy!

    • Ha-ha. I just decided to check out this group and I was thinking about posting something on Martin. I should have known someone would beat me to the punch. Martin and “The song of ice and fire” books are simply amazing. Everyone that reads A Game of Thrones becomes a rabid fan.
Now I can somewhat understand where this guy is coming from. When I first heard of the series two of the four books were already out. I tore through them and have twice dealt with the excruciatingly long wait. That being said I completely agree with the blog. The last thing the fans need to do is try and force Martin to do anything.
I say let the man work at whatever pace he sets. The quality of the story demands we should all just shut up, bite our tongues and wait like good fans.
Btw thanks for the post and here’s to hoping HBO picks up the series.
