Well, sounds to me like you don't really need to see the video 'cause you nailed it.

Ha ha ha. That's the same line I use when I have an off-key night. Guess I'll have to believe him since it's usually true (especially if you're untrained like me). I still say he over sang though.

Ah and I believe what you say about him not being able to hear himself, b/c he sounded atrocious. And I thought he could sing. But this was BAD stuff... but it's hard when you can't hear yourself. sooo....

Definitely keep it on Cable and Satellite. Have you taken a recent look at the soap operas on Telemundo? They are rife with gays, lesbians, transgendered and transvestite people, you would think that Telemundo is the new Latin Gay Channel.

There is a double standard in this country. Women on Women action is hot, while boy on boy action is not.

The truth is that when that kiss went out over the airwaves, many straight men got a woody. The 1500 calls were probably from those who came close to ejaculating.

Yeah the kiss was innocuous. I wonder if that is what people really complained about. I fully agree with jubal: there is a clear double standard in this country. No question there...

It is totally hot :) (Though not tuneful.) As adults, we are not offended by being exposed to overt sexual gestures. Why should we be? I just hear my friends who have kids, and I understand that they want to be able to control when and where their children are exposed to these situations. They want to be able to expect it (and, arguably, maybe they should have. I'm glad I don't have to worry about that all the time.) When it is presented in such a family-friendly venue, it is understandable that people feel juked by that. I'm not for censoring at all, but, IMHO, there's an appropriate time and place for most things. And this wasn't either.

I have to agree with you on all points. Had it been on MTV, one could argue that it would have been fair game. The AMAs, well, any Dick Clark produced show, is definitely NOT the place for performances like this. I am a performing artist myself (and I do enjoy the occasional barrage of foul language) but I believe it's in good taste (not to mention considerate) when you adjust for the more family oriented venues. As the father of a music-hungry seven year-old boy (who, thankfully, wasn't watching) I would appreciate it if more artists, and their handlers, would look at the big picture a bit more.
