Ever heard a tune in a videogame and thought, "I know this from somewhere"? Don't worry, you're probably not crazy. Most likely, you do know that song from somewhere. You probably heard it on the radio, or in a movie, or on your favorite CD. Videogames, you see, have a curious habit of pilfering tunes from other sources. Peter Gabriel once said that 90% of art is theft (though he may have swiped that statement from someone else), and that's certainly true in gaming. We'll probably never know if the similarities between certain game tunes and remarkably similar songs that came before are mere coincidence or simply that questionable 90% of art.
