Equality for All
As you know, every night we like to tackle a different topic on Still Up, ranging from the light - the party scene in Brazil, the secret world of modeling, and even bicycle culture - to the heavy - treatment of women in the Middle East, the idea of 'God,' and people overcoming various types of obstacles. We love that our show allows us a late night forum to discuss and present topics without the need to censor our subjects, and that you all give us the free reign to openly explore topics that otherwise might seem at odds with one another. We also inject our own ideas and opinions as well - which we receive LOTS of feedback on - and are grateful that you continue to watch even if our stance on an issue doesn't fit into your own ideaology.
Thursday night (April 30th) we're hosting a special show dealing with human rights issues faced by the LGBT community. We're very excited to explore all the various perspectives out there on this topic and hope to present as balanced a perspective possible. However, it's important to us to convey our thoughts on the matter most talked about in recent months - that the right to marry is a HUMAN right, not a heterosexual right, and should be viewed as such by people and politicians alike. We're stoked to see it air and hope you enjoy the touching stories provided and also gain a little perspective from the other side... Your feedback on the shows is always welcome, so as always, email maxandjason@current.com or follow us on Twitter.
We've got lots of other great shows in the pipeline (and new developments in general) so stay in touch and get the details first!
