This was amazing and by far one of my favorite pods because of all of the elements that were tied in explain how we've arrived to this point. It's one thing to understand how our society has been shaped by our past but another to really visualize how our current day society will impact the future.

A ship full of European American hipsters is a turn off. Keeping with the obvious Star Trek nod it would have been cooler to me if there was some variation in the crew.

I've seen better episodes of SUPER NEWS but it was still straight. I don't know about anybody else but I learn more from current then these other Mega news channels and what not. By the way a robot on meth is definitely HIP.

Dude. Like, um...in high school when this new band came out that made fun of needing to be popular and then, like, they became popular? I loved them 'til they became popular. Then, like, I hated them and made fun of anyone who loved them. Ya know? Then, like this one guy in the band split to start a new band that makes fun of anyone who loves bands 'til they become popular. I'm into that whole freaky concept now and, frankly, I'm hip that way.

I'd consider myself a Human, not a hipster, even though I listen to so called "indie music" and watch "independent" films.

I think Current is for the socially aware. And, if most of society is not socially aware, than we probably are hipster, but in a good way.

Someone go ahead and define hipster. Because I think both SuperNews and the Fix are just putting material out there that isn't already out there...but making sure everyone is represented is important but difficult i'm sure...

I mean, don't get me wrong, I thought it was funny, and i'll declare myself a hipster right here. But c'mon, there's a ton of hipster content on current, from the hipster olympic pod to the countdown on bikes and of course all the pods on independent fashion. Not to mention the Fix? It's just silly how part of being a hipster is hatin' on hipsters.

That's the thing. Nobody knows if they're a hipster or not, even though everyone else does. Zaffo is saying what lots of people are noticing about Current.

I agree Zaffo. Current has hipster written all over it but this wasn't bad, I like to see that they aren't "too hip" to poke fun at themselves a little bit.

I don't get all the hipster hate on current... It seems like half of the programming on this network is specifically designed for them.
