    • What we NEED in American Media is variety !!! We NEED to knock these dumb "Realty" programs off TV !!! Get radio stations to play more then Lady Gag Me ,Just-A_Beaver & a few Auto Tune rap groups!!! We NEED movies that are more then just a few vampires & poorly done remakes!!! & THAT is the biggest downfall in culture right now!!! No one is willing to come up with ANYTHING even semi new!!! OH!!! & Yeah...MIGHT want to get rid of that whole Twitter nonsense too !!! It's just simply useless!!!

    • It's so true, to have been there when the first video aired to now it so disheartening. MTV is and has been for quite sometime now the purest garbage and idiocy filth on television. If you work for that company or watch any of its programming , even for ironic hipster purposes, you should take a long look into your life and figure out what or where you went completely wrong and successfully failed miserably.

I think people need to petition to get MTV to play music again!!! I think if enough people were to sign a petition ,even if MTV doesn't quit their bullshit maybe they will at least wake up & THINK a little about the programing they are marketing!!!

    • I gave up on MTV when the Real World came on. I was a small kid at the time (elementary school/middle school) at the time, and even then I didn't like watching The Real World.

Coming soon: The Real World: Nursing Home... you thought they were done with their youth, but it's only just beginning!

...oh crap I hope I didn't give MTV any ideas...

    • If EVERYONE hates what MTV is doing now,why don't we all just write to them & demand that they play music! The only people I know that like the new MTV shows are young dumb kids that really don't even know what music is! Anyone remember that skinny dude Jessie Camp ? I wonder if he learned English! We NEED to stop this new MTV style before all of the world's youths are turned in to complete morons! It's bad enough rap music replaced just about every other genre on radio! I do wish to know who does the Boris Karlof style voice in this clip! great job!

    • .....I think my brain literally flinched and died a little when Spencer started his 'bro' spiel.

Loved the Watership Down reference, the opening was perfect. God I miss when MTV was just music and kick-ass cartoons. Anyone else remember The Maxx? Daria? The Head? Clone High? Sigh....

    • I think shows are fine for MTV. Afterall, we can get music videos anywhere now, especially rh emultipel other MTV channels. However I think that the problem is there are too many shows, and most are completely and utterly stupid. Real World I think does some good, depending on the season. If anyone has watched the Brooklyn season curretly airing, then you would know it.

Then of course they are coming out with the HIV/AIDS movie about Pedro from Real World (I think San Fran).

    • this was HILARIOUS, josh. but also painful in that way where you have to watch a movie about someone you love making ALL THE WRONG choices. let this be a lesson to us all.

    • I loved the part where Michael drops the N-Bomb; that was awesome! Keep up the great work, guys! Maybe "nigger" isn't such a bad word after all; It doesn't offend anyone, right?

    • Why do they bother calling it MTV when there essentially isn't any music videos on anymore? I mean there's thousands of videos by now, or at the very least have documentaries on bands or famous music places/events. Now we are relegated to trash like "The Hills" and other reality shows on there. They just need to rename the station to something else, as the name MTV is more scrutinized than anything now.

    • I remember telling my friends back when I was in Jr. High, when The Real World first aired, that would be the end of MTV. I didn't actually think it would deviate into what it has become today. Funny though. But like it's been said, a bit sad too.

    • I stopped watching when Justin Timberlake won best video over Johnny Cash's moving hurt video. Even the vapid whore that is "JT" realized that it was a mistake and apologized when he got the award. I turned the channel and haven't had any urge to tune back in. They should be called JTV, Just TV.

    • I thought it was sad as well; I remember what MTV was. Now I just pass the channel by because they never have anything worthwhile on and much less music.
