Guess where Mama’s going next weekend? Ground zero of the presidential campaign, the Buckeye State! “The Sexy Liberal Comedy Tour” is parachuting right into the middle of the election fight. Actually, Mama will be opening her umbrella and gliding elegantly, Mary Poppins–like, right onto the Columbus Capitol Theatre stage next Saturday night, August 18.
Trust me, second only to the live teabagging demonstration, that’s a scene you just don’t want to miss!
And with the exquisite planning and military precision that only “The Sexy Liberal Comedy Tour” director Roland Scahill could achieve, we’re actually arriving in Ohio right after Mittens’ bus tour pulls out of town. Given his mounting campaign gaffes, it’s not inconceivable that Romney may actually pull out of the race entirely by then. But assuming he still hasn’t gotten the memo that NOBODY likes him, Mittens may be announcing his running mate just days before we get there.
How much fun would it be if it’s Ohio Senator Rob Portman, a man who even most Ohioans don’t recognize? Portman’s so bland that he makes Mittens looks exciting (no small feat). AND he was George W. Bush’s budget director. Now there’s a résumé builder.
And I’d like to personally extend my invitation for Rockin’ Robbie to come join us on the panel at the Columbus show. Just think how much fun you’d have. At least people will be laughing WITH you at our show. When you get on that debate stage with Joltin’ Joe Biden, sadly, the joke will be on you.
Biden: “Senator, you were George W. Bush’s budget Ddrector, right?”
Portman: “Uhhh, maybe. But I was only there a little while. I didn’t like it, and I never inhaled.”
