Former Congressman Alan Grayson (D-Florida) takes a look at the shape of this recession which he says looks like an L in terms of job growth versus the classic V shaped recession where job growth begins to increase more rapidly. Grayson says, “Jobs go down and then they stay down” in this recession because of the extreme amount of job cuts. Grayson says public services jobs never should have been cut because “the great thing about public employment is you can’t outsource those jobs.”
