Each week we'll post assignments for the next week's show: go see a movie, record a webcam, or toss up a three word review. Who knows, your review just might make it into The Rotten Tomatoes Show.
This is how you record a webcam:
+ Click on "Add a Response"
+ Click on the "Webcam" tab, and click record.
+ Add a description
+ Click the Submit button
+ Watch The Rotten Tomatoes Show on Current on 3/5 at 10:30pm E/P
Here's more info bout the show:
From reviews of the newest releases to commentary on cult favorites and movie trends, each episode of The Rotten Tomatoes Show is a fast-paced, comedic journey through the week in cinema.
Brett Erlich and Ellen Fox host the smartest, funniest movie show on TV. Premiering movies get the treatment, but so do DVD releases, trailers, childhood favorites, DVD extras, and film classics. Sprinkle in some irreverent Top 5 Lists and you’ve got the first movie review show to embrace the way we watch, talk, and over-talk movies. Viewer interaction will be a big part of each episode. By submitting webcam reviews, three word reviews, haiku reviews and comments through this site or responding to specific callouts and questions asked by the hosts during each episode, viewers will help define which films are "fresh" and which are "rotten."

Knowing is a big disaster. The movie made no sense even at the end. This is my review of Knowing.

Where are Harloff and Ellis? This isn't new, I thought this show was already on Current????

I'm glad Current got this, because I just went back to Jump The Shark.com and found out that TV Guide killed it and merged it into the TV Guide website, eliminating the Jumped or not feature as well as discussions over specific shows. LAME.

I mentioned in a previous post that Brett deserved his own show because the guy's so funny. Little did I know that it was in the making. :)
I'm already the show's biggest fan!

I will enjoy this as getting a movie review opinions helps when we have to decide whether to see a movie.

So you have 13 year olds and two twenty somethings giving you their learned thoughts on movies? No thanks.

snarky soundbites and hipster posing are what movie reviews have come to? The Rotten Tomatoes website includes thoughtful reviews by reviewers who know and care about moviemaking.... this ain't that, at least the trailer ain't...

No thanks...
The Current Staffs posts are already dominating regular users in nearly every category this is just going to continue and entrench that trend.
Lets face it, Current lost a lot of users when they changed the format and the staff are the majority of users anymore...

"Nothing new under the sun"
I'm a newbie to Current and I watched a old clip of "Harloff and Ellis" reviewing The Dark Night
It was OK but not very interesting ... and very amauterish.
Let's give the new show a chance and see how it develops.
One promo does not herald Spring. Let's see the Full Monty (to mix metaphors)
Ellen and Erlich have lots of credentials and comic background.
And Ellen looks a lot better than Harloff and Ellis combined.

Ha ha ha "Benjamin Snooze Button" classic. Mind you, is this the first 16:9 formatted show this is in? (just wondering)

I like that you have created a digital empty studio so that you don't have to show your actual empty studio.

Looks great and lots of fun.
We need some off beat and entertaining reviews, otherwise we should just imbibe Ebert.

This show was so much better when it had these two,
this is NOT the first entertaining format of reviews:

Looks crappy.
Go back to the Campaign Update Brett, that was great. You don't need to limit yourself to only American elections.

I could see this too, but Bret has too much hair to be Siskel. He is skinny though, unlike Ebert. I'm confused now.

I love Brett but what happened to Harloff and Ellis? I thought if anyone would be hosting a movie review show, it would be them considering all the love they got from their hilarious "Current Lowdown" submissions.
For that alone, I already dislike this show. We'll see how it goes but until then, I'll be sticking to these guys: http://www.youtube.com/schmoesknow

I still watch Harloff and Ellis on their youtube channel. Yeah this is a blatant rip off of what they used to do very very well. And still do well! You two got some big shoes to fill!

Agreed, I used to watch Harloff and Ellis all of the time. Why did Current not use them? I love Brett but this was their show. Were they fired? What happened Current??
