In the second episode of The Rotten Tomatoes Show, hosts Brett Erlich and Ellen Fox lead ensemble reviews of "Watchmen," "Shuttle" and "12," they unveil the top five movies with numbers in the titles, and they'll try to learn history through film.

    • I found this show before I heard about the website. I gotta say Im a huge fan and has inspired me to watch more movies. Ellen is gorgous and its great to see a stunning woman who knows what she is talking about. Though she looks a bit too much like an ex.. Brett, is a great match. I love his work on infomania.

    • i hate to say this. but i will. i am disappointed, very disappointed with the rotten tomatoes show. the platform. what's being covered. sorry brett and ellen. the humor...which isn't entirely flat, but i wish you guys would strike a better balance with the solemnity and potential of cinema when it's done right instead of subscribing to the same i-cant-take-this-hollywood-movie-making-shit seriously because im smarter and funnier than it, and deconstructing everything with cheap references. is Rotten Tomatoes Curren'ts first flop?

      I agree with this. I think a little less snark-with-no-actual-oppinion, and a little more actual content would be in order. The humour kind of falls flat if the show's only content is comprised of smart comments. Also, the female lead really is not funny.

      PS: The Counterfeiters was Austrian, not German!

    • I love this show!!! Keep up the great work.

      (I liked Watchmen, but I know the graphic novel backwards and forwards. People less familiar might not find it as enjoyable.)

    • I find it funny that the three movies were all criticized for being too long, and yet the #1 movie on the Top 5 was even longer and tougher to endure. Even if 8 1/2 was stylistically brilliant.

      Amen. I once went to a felini double feature, I passed out before it was over despite the beauty there was no plot or action to move things along in any traditional fashion. la Dolce Vida is gobsmacking as is 8 1/2 but they are the Seinfield of film and they go on and on. I don't think that is true of Watchmen and there is plenty of action elements as well. As far as I'm concerned audiances are complaining about length too much. I think its more bang for the buck and I'd recomend any Felini and Watchmen to anyone. I think if we let this ADD mind set rule our lives we will all be in the cultural trash heap. If it keeps up we'll be replacing great novels with twitter versions of 150 words. There was War there was peace. The End. Too loong!

    • I still don't like the format of this show. It belongs on the E! channel, not on Current.

      Ellen is slightly less annoying this time, but you would be far better off with someone else.

    • Synechdoche New York was amazing. Maybe Charlie Kaufman is "up his own abyss" but it didn't keep the movie from being deeply profound and personal. I cried like a baby. Maybe the best movie ever.

    • I keep hearing people complaining about the ending of Watchmen...it was supposed to be unsatisfying! In the novel you are left going "huh...that uh....sucks...." You are neither happy nor sad and despite not having a squid I felt the ending kept the same feeling as the novel.

      Like realfran said, there where things wrong, but overall I think it got a lot right and I really enjoyed it. I cannot wait for the DVD to see all the extra goodies that got cut :)

      Anywho great show! Even better than the last! Boooooxxxxxxx! (that scene was filmed about 5 miles from my childhood home)

      there a million things wrong with watchmen:
      - the silk spectre chick (i know shes hot but i just dont get why she is still getting work)
      - the music (except for the dr manhattan segment) to name a few
      but I LOVED IT!!!
      i can get why some people didnt like it though, i think you could do so much more with the review but it just wasnt funny enough.
      i loved the shuttle and 12 reviews though, good job.

    • I say it's over-hyped and really a barely above average movie. It wasn't bad, which I am grateful for. But it could have been alot better. Good episode of TRTS. Hopefully I review a movie this week that isn't as popular.

      I just saw the movie last night, It was SOooo Long! When Walking out of the theater I was dizzy from starring at the screen for 3 hours! Good movie though for the most part, there could have been some editing, some scenes seemed to drag on. Bring a cup of coffee for this movie, you'll need it!
