During Ellen's drug deal thing, a scene from Spun is shown and it the movie is from 1993. WRONG. Spun came out in 2002. Just sayin'.

I'm surprised there was no mention of Star Destroyers.
One of the most iconic scenes of science fiction & fantasy cinematography is without a doubt the opening scene in the original Star Wars (Episode IV). The slow crawl of the Star Destroyer onto the screen. This ship kept going, and going, and going... as it showed itself to be so much larger than we ever imagined... and insanely detailed... it was definitely a defining moment in film which forever changed every movie after it (much like the matrix did with its 360 "bullet time" magic).
It's not just the entrance though - the ships are freaking awesome. In size and in function. They are simply giant aircraft carriers meant to evoke fear when in sight... which they did.
I mean, if this "top 5" was truly about the "coolest" ships out there, then we should recognize the Falcon was a heap of junk with a good owner that knew how to fly/use said heap of junk. The only cool things about the Falcon were the occupants.
It seems like you were going for humor and were scared to leave out the primary ships of the two main franchises (Millennium Falcon/Enterprise).
With Star Trek the Enterprise is definitely cool - especially the NCC-1701-D from The Next Generation. Detachable saucer section, Skylight, Holodeck, Replicators, etc... but I disagree about the fragile nature of the ship. The clip you showed was, I believe, when Q knocked the ship into an unknown sector - the equivalent of Godzilla throwing an aircraft carrier from the Sea of Japan into The Gulf of Mexico. Yeah, there's going to be some physical turmoil inside. But if you actually watch the series you'll see many instances of smaller ships firing on the Enterprise and it having little-to-no effect whatsoever.
With all of that said, you are wrong - the coolest ships from the Star Trek franchise belonged to The Borg.
'Nuff said.

I agree about the enterprise though, I've always noticed that it gets damaged very easily. Why does it's shields only last for like 5 minutes?

Because forcefields that can deflect missiles and plasma take a shit ton of energy to maintain.
Our real live spaceships use ceramic tiles, and that's the best we have for the time being.

Who are the 5% that did not like Star Trek? The nerve of them! They must be from a different galaxy. Yea, that is it. They are from a different galaxy.

I don't know... the Serenity ship was breaking down all the time, and while the SHOW was awesome, the ship itself wasn't particularly outstanding.
The concubine ship in Firefly, however, was pretty interesting.

Part of me wanted to see "Next Day Air" if only to see Avon Barksdale (Wood Harris) sell drugs again, but not even that could get me to the theaters to see that train wreck. My condolences go out to all who went into that with any semi-high expectations.

Spun is a crazy movie man. They had to include it in their drug movie collage, and that was probably one of the nicer moments they could have shown.... unless you want to see Mena Suvari pooping.

Brett: Your top 5 movie space ships are all wrong, but I suspect you know this already. I will spare you my in-depth analysis, however I think you totally ignored the evil spaceship in The Fifth Element that was essentially a big molten mass of evil that could turn suddenly solid, and grew bigger the more evil missiles the evil ignorant blockhead military types shot at it (cuz, you know... evil begets evil and all), and probably most astonishingly, it could make Gary Oldman bleed black black bile from his forehead from ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE UNIVERSE. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I suppose that maybe you chose to omit this otherwise pleasingly awesome space ship due to the fact that 4 stones and a sexy supreme being could turn it irrevocably into... the moon... (which is a pretty big weakness, actually, come to think of it). Anyway... the Winnebago ship in Space Balls was lame and your assessment of it's awesomeness was simply incorrect... but i love you anyway.
Ellen & Brett: Your "How Not To Do A Drug Deal" segment was brutal. I have tender and thenthitive eyes. Seeing someone get shot in the nuts was not something my brain needed... but i love you both anyway.
