I am disappointed. I guess it's the first time I see the rotten tomatoes show doing a completely unfair (perhaps biased) review.
Hurt locker is a pointless movie. I am not from the military, but I am clever enough to spot all the ridiculous, unrealistic situations that are depicted over there. Sure, it's a movie and there's some sort of pseudo-intellectual message being conveyed in the background, but why do you need to borrow the war mind set to instruct such messages? Because it's easy thrill, nothing else...
It's preposterous to state that this is the best war movie ever made.... Forgetting Platoon, Apocalypse Now, Full metal jacket... just to name a few.
Hurt locker winning a oscar over Inglorious Basterds (1000 times better at every single aspect) just proves that these awards are politically biased.
From now on i shall only trust IMBD.
Shame on you rotten tomatoes show. You suck for this.

This movie was total CRAP! The tension and drama all come from the fact that they were doing pretty much everything wrong! Yeah it would be tense to have the EOD personnel have to clear their own buildings, but they don't (that's what infantry is for). Sure it was really harrowing when the soldiers were running down Baghdad alleys BY THEMSELVES with no back-up, but do you really think that EVER happens? The main character would have been dishonorably discharged several times in the film's story alone, sneaking off base, unnecessarily placing his squad in extreme danger, and willfully defying direct orders from a superior to name a few. The army is all about order and chain of command, how long do you really think someone like William James would last in the actual army where rules actually matter. Put the movie in Africa with mercenaries and you have a decent film, but why bother making a movie about the war in Iraq that has nothing to do with the war in Iraq?

I still don't think she should have won the oscar, and the movie wasn't the best, I would have given it to either Precious or Inglourios Basterds.
