    • haha, i actually went to this movie for the exact reason that i was desperate for air conditioning and willing to sit through anything. it was definitely not outstanding, but a welcome relief from the summer heat.

    • I was pretty intrigued by the movie in the beginning... but after a while things just got to unbelievable, maybe it was the crappy CGI, or just the unlikeliness of the whole situation.

    • I hate people who go with the "quit ruining my childhood" argument against movies like this. I'm more than certain that if any of us tries to watch an episode of G. I. Joe or Transformers or whatever, we'll see that those shows sucked and the only reason we liked them was because we were kids who didn't know any better.

Wow, for a legendary hater, you're not very good at it!

People aren't saying the cartoon was a masterpiece, they're saying they have fond memories of it. Of course it seems cheesy 20 years later, but at the time it was pretty standard, and duh, we were kids. This movie? Sucks right NOW. Crap like this overwrites pleasant memories with pure fail, for no good reason. (What next? A movie based on "Asteroids"? Oh no, wait...)

To put it another way: if it was so lame only a kid from 20 years ago could like it, why would I enjoy an even crappier version now that I'm an adult?

I don't want to hate my childhood memories. I have no interest in snarking at my 11-year-old self.

    • I'm so sick and tired of these idiot movie makers using CGI to mask the fact that the script sucks and these talent-free drones they call actors make you want to vomit. No one is that desperate to be inside an air conditioned theatre with what tickets and popcorn cost today. These are rececessionary times. This crap will be out on regular cable before I see it.
