    • "...PLEASE bring back the old way you did reviews!"
I second that. I respect that you are trying new formats and need to branch off of some old bits, but I don't understand why you dropped the user reviews. Was it to make production easier? Was it taking too long to sift through the videos? I like Brett and Ellen's take, but wasn't the whole point of thei being the "Rotten Tomatoes Show" that the show reflected the site and the wide range of public opinion? Heck, a big part of the appeal was the idea that I COULD get off my butt and submit a reivew at some point.
Cut the reviews of movies that haven't been released (not even a tomatoe meter rating, for crying out loud), the long-winded recaps at the end (redundant and wordy), and the freakin' clip shows. They make Current feel like MTV as it slowly declined from a cool concept to a desperate struggle to create enough content for a 24-hour station.
And why are all the movies you review lately so very mainstream? Rotten Tomatoes used to trot out some obscure work, some foriegn films, and some not-so-disgustingly "indie" indies. If there just aren't any releasing right now (in the middle of summer? Dubious), pull out some obscure stuff that's been released. Ask for viewer reviews and bring us back into the process, back when the show felt interactive.
Finally, that background for the few panellests you've kept on looks awful. I preferred to see someone's crummy apartment, webvideo style.
      I hate because I love.

    • I'm going to have to completely disagree on Patrick Bateman as an antihero. He's probably the biggest sociopath I've seen in a movie, and he scares the shit outta me. No way am I rooting for him.
Also, PLEASE bring back the old way you did reviews! I don't want to hear just film critic reviews of movies, and the Tomatometer doesn't seem entirely accurate to me when it's this early.

Thanks Dan for the link. Bit chatty hour but did offer a some insights. Esp liked their discussing a
Toy Story 4 (surprise) but don't rem a 5 other than concept that sequels in coming years might be all there is as in Toy Story 9. The beginning of review had some helpful tips about upcoming scfi remakes like Logan's Run and couple Aliens jobs. Link to check into now & then. Have to see what they had to say about Splice that got panned but looked clever in trailer.
hmm $2.4bil is TS3 projection for associated merch beyond film itself.
And a Harry Potter in 3D this summer? Not sure if will carry the adults like TS3.

I was pretty surprised as well, from the trailer it looked like a rip off from the movie Alien and Species but it was the first time in a long time that I could see originality in some cases, which is good, and the eerie feeling bout human experimentation really lingers with you lol.

    • Not the worst set of reviews. Seemed to nait Toy Story 3 from what I got out of it.
And any guest film selector who puts Being There as his #1 pick is ok. Sticking with
Rotted Nasty Tomatoes for awhile. Not much else except the 2 guys on FOX.
Hey, 2 guys on Fox, ahh the very thought....

    • Ok, last time I am posting and or watching this show. It's really bad. One of your reviewers kept saying "um" while he was reviewing Toy Story 3. Now unless he had tourettes syndrome there's no excuse for that. I mean that's speech 101. I shudder to think how many takes you went through to get even that take. Anyone confused as to how Toy Story 3 got 100% ? Go read Bob Mondello's review on NPR.org. Explains it all. Hey Rotten Tomatoes use good reviewers next time, it helps. Also, how about Titus as the best anti-hero. He's dutiful & loyal til they F with his kids & then he cooks two people in a pie & serves them to their mother. Pretty hardcore. I used get movie suggestions from you guys. Brett you gave me "The Host" and "Oldboy". So disappointed. Good bye forever.

    • Wow, "this video is no longer available" on the site of the channel that airs it... amazing!

Hey... you should make it much harder for me to view a whole episode of infomania while you are at it... oh, wait... you already did... damnit.

CURRENT... I have loved you for a long time. You have been the shining light in a sea of darkening, pop culture shit. I don't know, being only 26, maybe this is the first time I have been witness to the death throes of a (personally) revered icon, but I SINCERELY hope that it isn't.

I love the idea of you current, and so do many others. I purposely leave my cable box on channel 107 when I leave the house, just so your network gets that little bit of boost. But lately the community seems to have been put on the "back burner."

CURRENT, if you fail, FML (and not the website) for real. C'est la vie in the end I suppose, but it still sucks.
