We asked Alonso Duralde, a man who's literally written a book on gay cinema, to give us the history of lesbians in film in three minutes or less. A frequent guest reviewer for The Rotten Tomatoes Show, Duralde explains how indie movies like 1985's "Desert Hearts" eventually expanded the portrayal of lesbian characters in American movies beyond double-crossing, homicidal vampires.
