After weeks of sidestepping queries about his income, Mitt Romney released his 2010 tax returns, and his projected returns for 2011 to the media on Monday night.
You can find the lengthy documents on the GOP candidate, and details on the $21.7 million he made in 2010, and the projected $20.9 million he made last year on his website.
This morning, Think Progress published an article this morning titled: “Six Facts about Mitt Romney’s Tax Return,” which sheds light on what Romney’s tax returns really tells us. Here were 4 of the 6 points outlined:
1. Romney paid a lower tax rate than many middle-class Americans
2. Romney makes more in a day than the average American makes in a year, and becomes a 1 percenter every week
3. Romney has accounts in countries notorious for tax dodging
4. Romney and Gingrich’s tax plans would slash Romney’s taxes
The rest of that article can be found on Think Progress. Meanwhile, The Washington Post juxtaposed President Obama and Newt Gingrich with Romney’s returns revealing that the multimillionaire made more that four times that of Obama and Gingrich combined.
