Men and women are mobilizing, and Saturday they will come together in 45 states and in 53 cities across the country in solidarity with UniteWomen.org’s efforts to protest the ongoing war against women. The Unite Women March stems from the continuing assaults on women’s reproductive rights and anti-women legislation and rhetoric sweeping the country. Our own host Jennifer Granholm will be there to give the keynote address.
“It is so appropriate for Governor Granholm to keynote UniteWomen.org’s D.C. event,” said Karen Teegarden, founder of UNITE Women. “As governor of Michigan, Granholm stood up for women’s and worker’s rights. She continues to be a strong voice for women, families and the working class as host of ‘The War Room’ on Current TV.”
Jennifer will deliver the speech at the Unite Against the War on Women rally tomorrow, Saturday, April 28, in Washington, D. C. at Upper Senate Park at Delaware and Constitution Ave, N.E. just after 1 p.m.

Tonight, we’ll be discussing the issues that have made this march so necessary. Is the march a sign that women are getting more active in politics and rallying together for this election? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
