“The War Room”: It’s the place to be for political junkies of all stripes, the hub for the latest on the campaign trail and the nightly destination for insightful political analysis.
Like campaign war rooms across the country in this very important election year, our Current TV “War Room” will feed off the energy of the 2012 races. We will follow political campaigns from coast to coast with the insight of a seasoned campaign manager and the smarts of the best pollsters in the business.
Today on “The War Room,” we’ll be paying a visit to the “Mother of all War Rooms” this year – Obama campaign headquarters in Chicago. We’ll also meet Obama adviser Robert Gibbs and Massachusetts Senatorial candidate Elizabeth Warren.
As a former two-term governor in Michigan, I’ve been inside my own war room, and I’ll be sharing some of what I learned there with you in the months ahead. Beyond the stories of this year’s political battles, we’ll also be talking about the bigger issues that matter – and the solutions that make a difference in the lives of everyday Americans.
What we won’t cover in this “War Room” are talking points. We’ll be speaking passionately about progressive politics in America – but there will be no yelling. Facts and integrity are of the utmost importance here. We are going to share our perspective – but it will be firmly rooted in an accurate set of data.
Like a campaign talks with its voters, we hope to have a dialogue with you, our viewers. We look forward to your questions and comments here on Current.com – or on Facebook and Twitter (@GranholmTWR).
I hope you’ll tune in to the premiere of “The War Room” tonight, January 30th at 9/8c, only on Current TV.
