Jennifer Granholm welcomed Jennifer Siebel into ‘The War Room.’ Siebel is a documentary filmmaker who most recently directed, wrote and produced the documentary “Miss Representation.” The film examines how the media have contributed to the underrepresentation of women in positions of power. The film premiered in 2011 at the Sundance Film Festival and won the Audience Award at the Palo Alto International Film Festival.

And for a closer look at the science behind polls, Steve Mitchell joined us as well. Mitchell is a republican and serves as Chairman of the consulting firm Mitchell Research & Communications, Inc and as a pollster for The Detroit News. His political consulting, public relations counseling and marketing research career spans more than 25 years and reaches across more than 40 states. His latest Mitchell/Rosetta poll, shows Romney regaining the lead in the Michigan GOP primary by 2 percent over Rick Santorum.

Also, Sen. Paula Dockery (R) of Florida joined us to talk about the state of the prison system in Florida. Republicans and Democrats came together last week in voting down a bill that would have expanded private prisons in Florida and brought the single greatest expansion of prison privitization in U.S. history.
