'The War Room' for
March 9

The White House has to be cheering the latest jobs numbers, which continue to show an improvement in the economy. We addressed the state of the economy and the language of the campaign trail with Thomas Frank, author of “Pity the Billionaire.”

Then we turned to the South, as Alabama and Mississippi hold their primaries next week. First, we went to Sebastian Kitchen of The Montgomery Advertiser, who was called one of “The Best State-Based Political Reporters,” by The Washington Post. We also talked with The San Francisco Chronicle’s Joe Garofoli and political commentator/comedian Kamau Bell.

Then we shifted our focus to the future of clean energy in America. The governor sat down with Arun Majumdar, the head of the Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Project Agency for Energy. They discussed everything from making electric cars more economical to the future of battery technology.

Then it’s Friday, and our Brett Ehrlich took apart a new music video from the Rick Santorum camp.
