Thursday night in “The War Room,” Bill Burton, head of Priorities USA Action, joined Jennifer Granholm and had this to say about Mitt Romney’s record as a businessman: “People are starting to see that [Romney's] business record was about screwing middle-class Americans so that he and his partners could make millions of dollars.”
Then former Newt Gingrich spokesman Rick Tyler said that Mitt Romney’s campaign should follow Obama’s lead. ”Romney has a very difficult problem connecting to the average voter,” Tyler tells Jennifer Granholm. “He needs to follow Barack Obama’s advice. He needs to tell stories, he needs to have surrogates tell stories — about Mitt Romney and who he is.”
And Granholm said that a “knuckleheaded Congress” is holding Obama back and that progressives don’t have the luxury of dropping support for him out of disappointment or protest. ”Sitting [this election] out will make you an accomplice to electing President Romney,” she said, urging progressives to stay focused on defeating President Obama’s challenger in November.
