J.D. Hayworth, former member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Arizona’s 5th District, joins Jennifer Granholm in “The War Room” to talk about Mitt Romney’s involvement with Bain Capital, on the heels of yesterday’s discovery of the grievous inconsistencies between what Romney says about his involvement in the company and what was actually documented.
“Before you can sling mud, you’ve got to kick up the dust,” Hayworth says. “It would be better for Mitt if he went ahead and released the returns and understand that there’s that inherent narrative, that ‘how dare he work in the private sector and how dare he be successful.’”
But Jennifer disagrees: “The question is how you got your money and what you did when you were successful,” Jennifer says. “And if you’re running for president: Did you get your success by laying people off and offshoring jobs or did you get your success by making sure that everybody prospered?”
