Jennifer Granholm comes out swinging against Congressional leaders who are refusing to compromise on goals that span the aisle – like job growth and education. As he proposed his 2013 budget, Obama said: “The last thing we need is for Washington to stand in the way of America’s comeback.” Granholm underscores this point by calling Tea Party leaders like Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) obstructionists – and says those who stand in the way of compromise should be fired. It’s time, she says, for Democrats to occupy the majority in Congress.
