Jennifer Granholm, who once played Sarah Palin in order to help Joe Biden prepare for his debate, explains the impact of presidential debates on recent elections. Granholm is joined by Democratic strategist Jill Alper to talk about strategies the presidential candidates should use in the upcoming debates and which format plays to which candidate’s strengths. Alper says the town hall–style debate will play to Obama’s strength in connecting with voters while being tough for Romney, who Alper says has not shown himself “to be super warm or consistent.”
