Jennifer Granholm explains the relevance of whether Mitt Romney was involved in Bain Capital in the years after 1999: New information shows Romney is either keeping secrets from the voters or telling lies in official documentation. The inconsistency brings into question Romney’s ability to be a true leader. Granholm tells Romney, “You can verbally deny the uncomfortable facts, and do it repeatedly, but your words and signature are in black and white, sir.” As a better model, Jennifer turns to Romney’s father, George Romney, who she says was respected and valued in his role.
“[George Romney] was a civil rights advocate, a moderate who reached across the aisle and championed giving back to community and good government transparency,” Jennifer says. “It’s just a shame that Mitt did not learn about leadership from his dad. George Romney took responsibility when things went wrong inside of state government.”
